Sharing #MyToyStory Christmas Competition
Our Thank You Wish For Christmas 🎁🎄🎅
With the increasing pressure to buy the latest and most expensive toys every Christmas, this year we wanted to focus on what giving should really be about.
Because gifts are about showing someone you care – and not about breaking the bank right?
Last Christmas, our Top Prize Winner @MeisaFairy donated her ‘money-can’t-buy-sold-out-every-where-Hatchimal’ to her local Children’s Hospice. Inspired by this, we’ve based this year’s 12 Days of Christmas theme on the spirit of giving something back.
This Christmas we launched our toy competition specially to help those who are less fortunate, and need a little extra helping hand at this time of year. Which is why all our winners have been nominating their local Children’s Hospital Appeal to win their daily prize. A Christmas gift for our extra special Little Angels.
That’s something we can all share over Christmas. And you’ve been sharing your favourite #MyToyStory’s in your thousands every day to help bring back the true spirit of Christmas!
We have loved reading all your favourite toy stories in the run up to Christmas. Every day you’ve made us laugh, you’ve made us cry, given us goosebumps and only once did we have to close the browser. We hope by sharing your family childhood memories we’ve helped raised your own Christmas cheer. Whatever difficulties life throws at you. Your Family is Gold at Christmas!
What we’ve learnt most from all your #MyToyStory’s is that it’s not about getting the most expensive toy, or a better gift than your friends at school. It’s the gifts that gave you comfort and love that gave you the happiest memories which live on through your family generations forever.
As usual, there’s been some winners. But it’s not about winning others approval or wishing you were someone else. It’s about being content in who you are and sharing your love with friends and family at this special time of year.
So it’s from our heavenly hearts we would like to thank all of you who took the time to enter #MyToyStory, to make even a small difference to a child’s Christmas this year. For everyone who’s shared the spirit of Christmas, you’re all our winners.
There’s a little space here to share just some of your #MyToyStory‘s below, if you want to be included in this thread, drop us a comment below and we’ll add your pic to all our Little Angels. To summarise, in the words of the great poet, Lord John Lennon, we wish you all:
A Very Merry Christmas
And a Happy New Year
Let’s Hope it’s a Good One
With Plenty of Beer! 🎶🍺😍🎄
Who knows what 2018 will bring.
Let’s Make Miracles Happen 😇
